MURDERCYCLE | NARRATIVE SHORT

SYNOPSIS

David scores a killer deal on an old motorcycle at a gas station; the old man selling it tells him it's been collecting rust for years and offers it to David if he can start it. David successfully starts the bike and rides off into the night, stopping by the bar where his girlfriend Tonya works to surprise her. However, she is less than thrilled, recalling his bad accident on his last bike, and wants him to get rid of it. Their conversation is interrupted by Tonya’s ex-boyfriend and bar manager, Robbie, who tells her to get back to work. A fight breaks out between David and Robbie, which Tonya breaks up, sending David home.

Later, while working on his bike in the garage, the headlight flashes him in the face, possessing him. David returns to the bar, finds Robbie locking up, and attacks him with a wrench. The next morning, he wakes up with blood on his hands and a message from the police on his answering machine. He rushes outside to his bike, which won’t start, and walks into his garage, only to find severed limbs hanging from the ceiling, dripping blood into a gas can. His motorcycle confronts him, revealing it runs on human blood and demands that David do its bidding, giving him the ultimatum to ride or die.
